Quebec Experience Class Immigration Program

International students completing a program of post-secondary studies in Quebec and foreign workers working in Quebec can apply under Quebec Experience Class (Programme de l’expérience Québécoise, or PEQ).

Quebec Experience Program for International Students:

  • International students who completed their certain degree in Quebec will be qualified to apply under this program if they suffice the below terms:
  • The student must have received a degree or diploma from an educational institution approved by the Quebec Ministry of Education in the last 36 months;
  • The student must have completed 1800 hours(two years) study in Quebec.
  • The student must prove his understanding of French by one of the following:
    • Completed the education programs in French in Quebec
    • Studied in French for minimum two years in a secondary or post-secondary educational institution
    • Successfully done an intermediate-level French course given in Quebec province
    • Passed standardized French exam such as (Test d’Evaluation Français) (TEF);
    • Professional Order in Quebec of language should be Satisfied

Quebec Experience Program for Temporary Workers:

To qualify the applicant must be living temporarily in Quebec as a member in an approved work holiday program or as a temporary foreign worker.

  • The applicant must have one year of work experience in Quebec in a managerial, professional or skilled occupation in the 24 months before to submission of the application
  • The candidate must show legal status in Quebec and employed for full-time in Quebec when applying for this program.
  • The temporary foreign worker must also have an intermediate knowledge of spoken French. To prove French language proficiency, the applicant may choose from amongst one the alternatives described above.
